Hello Fellow Bachelors!

So glad you can join me here. As I mentioned on the website, I've conducted my Search for the Perfect Traveling Companion with the help of Oprah Winfrey and I have received over 25,000 emails, 2,000 applications and countless thousands of comments on my blog over the past six months. I'm 64 years old and most of the women who I've corresponded with are between the ages of 45 and 60+. I have learned to know and respect these wonderful Ladies and now they want to meet more men. They certainly do know how to have FUN!

I'm here to answer any questions you may have about us guys meeting and dating women closer to our own ages. Please treat the Men's Blog with respect and kindness and we will have a great time getting to know each other and, hopefully, you will get to meet some of these lovely women. They are all FUN, FIT and FREE (to pursue a meaningful relationship) and we expect you to be also. Looking forward to meeting you!

Well Joe,

Peeking in is kind of like having a CB in my vehicle.

Sometimes is is good to
1. know what is being said about us.
2. know what might lie ahead.
3. and find directions.

Suzanne, absolutely, get your bro here and his friends, too, if they are single. This is how it all starts. And if you go to the "Men's Page" using the links on the left side of the main website you will see a big ol' button that says "Men's Blog". Click on that to get here.

Have you all tried the new poll on the new SB Photo page?

Hi Ladies!!!!

I cannot believe we don't have new guys here yet, I think I was one of the orginial people to say that all of us probably had guyfriends that we loved, but would not necessarily marry them, that we could invite here. Well I have been waiting for this blog to to evolve to the point that we could invite the Guys.

So let me be first to introduce a very special friend of mine, who will be posting here as "CoopMan", as his friends in Montana call him!

I have already introduced "Coop" to our friend "sharingthenight" aka Wanda when she was still in Montana, so she can fill you ladies in on what this guy is all about, they only met briefly, but I have known him for many years and he is "Fun, Fit and Free"!!!

I purposely chose that order because he is Fun!!!!Fun!!!!Fun!!!!

So, Here eeeeeeees "CoopMan"!!!!

Well Howdy Ladies!!!!

I feel as if I know lots of you ladies, from hearing CathyinCarolina speak of this Adventure, and after seeing the pictures I have decided "What the H---!! Let's Rock!!

I left my place in Montana last week and have returned to Carolina for the fall colors.

I met your friend Wanda aka sharinginthenight when I was in Polson on Flathead Lake, what a beautiful place and a beautiful person. And her eyes and smile are as big as the Big Sky.

CathyinCarolina and I will attempt to post pictures of Wanda and myself taken on Flathead Lake, ASAP and you can see my Cowboy side.

When in Montana I enjoy riding the range and helping neighbor ranchers in Spring and Winter roundup.

I also hear there are some ladies here who enjoy motorcycling here and I have, since becoming single, renewed my Harley Davidson passion and like to "turn it toward the wind".

Thanks, here to Richard for the opportunity to express another SeniorBachelor's Dream , I look forward to meeting here and getting to know you and the marvelous ladies on this Journey.

A Great Big ole, Thanks Ya'll!!

Desertflowers-- there will be no website with our pictures and bios, as I understand it. If a guy wants to know about you or communicate with you, he will go to your blog where you control the info and commuication.

You will go to his blog for the same.

This blog is a way to get introduced and banter and support and bicker just like the SB one.

This is for the Ladies..
Coopman is a gentleman all the way!!
He is very considerate, I feel he is Genuine. When Cathy said she had a friend she wanted me to meet I didn't really ask her alot about him. I did talk to him for a brief amount of time to set up a meeting place in Polson, and that was about it, simply because- well Cathy is not going to send a kook out to meet me, and I want to be able to form my own opinion, not base it off of someone elses.. so

thats what I did.. and I am here to testify that Coop is a Wonderful Man.

and for all of the Bachelors out there.. if you are looking for good women ask Coop what he said to me about women our ages~~~~ ummm ummm goooodd stuff!!!

just like Richard said fun,fun,fun

no- no- nothing dirty, not nasty, just get out there and laugh, have fun.. dance.. run.. skip.. trip on a rock or get caught up in the wind.. spin around.. tell a joke, share a story, give a hug..
take a chance and blog... blog.. blog...

after blogging for a while maybe set something up I don't know what the plan is.. I might be talking out of line.. I am just thinking this is going to be something Like Richards was..

At any rate.. this is a way to meet and if you don't like it you really don't have to slam the door to leave.. :) lol grins I know I just always seem to tell it like it is but for me it is better that way..

So Ladies in my eyes... Coopman is A Good Man I think Cathy would agree..

Coop WELCOME ABOARD HONEY I am so happy to see you again ;) :) giggles & grins...

Richard and Joe: Thank You!!

Have a Wonderful Day

If you have some photos you care to share, you can post them on the blog account you created to post here or, you can send some to me and I'll gladly post them on the "SB Photo" page for all to enjoy. If it is more than three or so, you may email them to me at joe@seniorbachelor.com. Hey Mr. Coop Man Give us some statistics. How old are you? How tall are you? Do you smoke? Do you drink? How many times have you been married? Children?

Oh yes, Coop welcome to the site you will probably find out soon enough that I am the resident retired Private Investigator. But us ladies need to know more about the men here so we can picture you, cus you don't have your picture here. Heh Heh.

Although if you would like some assistance in posting pictures I would be happy to assist you. Just let me know.

Sweetpea I believe that we will have a place where Richard is posting our bios and pictures. As for me Post on Richard!- I need my face out there until I find that special person I'm looking for

I'm wise enough now about the on-line dating thing, that I know the right questions to ask before I even meet the man.

And for all you ladies visiting that site, My friend "TheCoopMan" is very busy today, but promised to get with me tonight to post again.

I will assist him or get DessertFlower to assist in posting the pic of Him and Wanda at Flathead Lake, made about a month ago, ASAP, it's not digital, so has presented extra challenges.

Hey, Flowergirl, where are you????? the truth is being shown as to who had the techie skills for the photos we sent out from Chicago, I am so challenged!!!

I will have to provide more details about "This New Guy on the Block", later, but I thought he might keep things going, since I have know him for 51 years and I have never ceased to be entertained when in his company.

I will also say that he may be quite probably the most eligible senior bachelor in our community here!!!!!

And why is it that I am not after him??????

I did not say that I wasn't, But I have never been afraid of competition either!!!!!!!

It's all about fun!!!!!!!!

Hi to Anita-in-Chicago, you are such a neat person and I was glad to see you with your heart balloon, I enjoyed meeting you!!!!

Anita and I met another Seniorbachelor in Chicago, who was out on the town with us and it has just dawned on my "little blonde brain" that he met many of these ladies and probably would Blog with us here, I will call him, pronto.

If I can contact him I will introduce him, as well, since I recruited him on Thursday night to stay the rest of the weekend in Chicago to meet the ladies there.

His schedule was flexible and he checked into a Hotel close by and accompanied us out every night, meeting lots of the ladies at SB event!!!!He thought Richard was really on to something and was thrilled to be in on the Fun!!!

I have one shot of him in a baseball hat at the Cigar Bar downstairs, if any one has a shot of him in his cowboy hat let me know, we have to get him on here, he was loads of fun.

We dubbed him "Seniorbachelor #2", but now that we have this site going he may be challenged for that title I know "TheCoopMan will be competing for that title as well.

When this SB we met in Chicago left the "After Party" at the Palmer House on Sunday afternoon, he thanked me profusely
for inviting him to meet the Ladies!!! I think he was quite taken with some of the Canadian SeniorBachelorettes, he had excellent taste in Women or he wouldn't have been escorting us about town!!!!!We are the "Cream of the Crop" in my estimation and the Fun has just begun.

Love to all!!!!

Good Evening Ladies!

OK, Private Investigator, here it is, statistics;

I am a "gracefully aged" 57 year old, blue eyed, 5'9", 175 pounds of Burning Love(as Elvis and I would say it).

I was married for 36 years and have been single only 2 years, I have a son who is 34 and a daughter 26.

I still smoke and drink only socially. I am semi-retired from owning an excavating company and do mostly Real Estate investments now.

I, like most of this group have a great passion for traveling and have about worn out the States, am ready to branch out, internationally.

Actually, my next goal was to go to Alaska, and CathyinCarolina said that was the plan for the Cruise, but I will probably be there before, then.

Where is LadybaseCamp located??

"I'm a traveling man, made alotta stops, all over the World"

"And in every port I owned the Heart of at least one lovely Girl"

I love dancing and RoeMancing!!

Sorry, Richard, Cathy put me on to the RoeMancing thing!

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, I feel right at home and look forward to getting to know Ya'll better!

Hello again, Jon aka Old Geezer. Interesting comments. I'm with Wanda ... you are free to state your opinion ... but you might want to go back and 'catch up' - before posting somewhat negative comments. This Blog is a result of comments made by many of us who attended the event in Chicago ... and something that most of us thought would be a great way to connect with men who were interested in travel and adventure.

I'm not sure why you would be opposed to the 1,994 or so women (who will not be traveling with Richard) having a little fun and meeting men of like mind.

I hope you will do all of us a service ... and go back and read some of the comments from the terrific women who are involved in this venture ... and see what they have to say about it - before making too many more statements. In the meantime ... I'm heading over to check out your site. Should be interesting.

Life with Picasso by Francois Gilot was very facinating and gave quite a bit of insight on Picasso himself.

If you are into fine art at all, I highly recommend the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg Russia. They have some nice Picasso's as well as any other major artist that you can think of. The Gold rooms are not to be missed, but need advanced reservations.

Ladies, Ladies!

If you truly want any men to use this blog then I suggest that we leave it only for the men to use. As a relationship educator, I can tell you that most men are "just the facts kind of people". They are not going to be wanting to wade through the women's comments. If they want to share with other men, and we want them to enjoy the site we should let it be just for the men to use!

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Hmmmmm ... I thought the guys were coming here to 'meet the women' ... so if there are no women here to 'welcome' them ... why would they want to visit here?

Anyway ... that was my understanding. Will be interested to hear what others have to say. Especially, Joe! : ) He will know - for sure!

P.S. I'll be hostess for the NNBBS Blog for a bit ... so everyone is welcome to drop in ... and share a Smile. : )

BARBARA, If it is just the Men's Blog, will they be talking to each other like we do? Barbara, I don't think so!! Maybe the women have already scared the men off with our babbling on about Henry Ford and Thomas Edison (that was me). So far there is only Coopman. I do agree with you though, I don't think men are going to weed through all this stuff like the girls do. I also don't think they will be talking to each other either. WE NEED A PLAN!!! Jayne

I would suggest that woman to woman conversations be reserved for the other blog.

Maybe the men who really were interested in connecting with someone could set up their own blog as many of you ladies have done. That would provide all of us opporunties to talk to them one and one or ask them to visit your own blog sight.

Anyone else have suggestions??

Hello Ladies,

As with the original blog on the Senior Bachelor site, it took many, many weeks before the Ladies went to it, learned to use it and built up any sort of activity level on it.

How about we do this for now. Let's please leave this site exclusively for men right now. I'll serve as host and help them get started, etc. All of you should monitor it and, when appropriate, I'll invite you to comment. That will give any guys a chance to get comfortable with blogging and maybe get their photos ready etc. Remember your first time blogging? It can be rather daunting.

Let's use this blog for some more comments on this approach and then we'll start a new one.

Richard's main blog is for the Ladies to use all the time.

FINALLY, i found it!!!! - yes, you certainly cannot keep me out of the male version of Pandora's Box!!,,just like a curious cat.

If "Bluebeard" gave me a key, and said: "Don't open this door", i would tell him where to "put it"...the key, i mean = i.e. right back in his pocket to try to fool someone else...hah hah hah...

Anyway, i for one (Canadian) have not gone to PerfectMatch...as i told you before i am "form phobic", and avoid anything at all that requires me to try to fit things into little boxes!!!; the only form i will concede to is my Income Tax Form, as i have no choice around that.

So, so sorry, i cannot say yea, or nay to your question about the Canadian "postal" codes.

Well, "How D doo dee" COOPMAN! drop over to my "blog" and see me sometime, to paraphrase Mae West "come up and see me sometime"...and if you like what you see, well, who knows???? ....?

When i have time i will take my cowboy hat off the shelf, give it a dust and get my daughter to photograph me it. (Just the hat you say? - well, i don't know if RR would allow that kind of photo on his blog, or whether there is someone with enough skill in airbrushing to make it presentable, lol, lol)

cheers for now.

p.s. oh by the way Richard, i have yet to find the photo page on the men's blog...what is wrong with me?
or is it not accessible to us Canucks?? ...and RR...if you are not satisfied after you have got to know your 12 choices thoroughly, you too can give me a call...right now i am available until you hear otherwise.

Hey have you checked out my new picture!!! just click on me... come back, and tell me what you think... now there, that is a little better, that looks more like the way I looked the day you met me!!!

If I am not mistaken I am wearing the same shirt, that was not intentional... I just happen to remember that!!!

yep Richard made his choices.. poor soul.. he didn't try to meet me first.. toooo bad for him.. he has no idea what he is missing!!!
lol..grins and giggles..of course
You and I both know that I cannot drink.. so he would save a lot of money on the wine and dine part, cause I don't eat much either!!!

Just means that he has chosen 24, but not that his soul-mate is in that group and everyone is jumping to conclusion that his search is over...

I like the way we have kinda "winked" at Joe's suggestion to leave Coop here all by himself. I think we will have to keep him entertained or he will probably go find some Cowgirl.

A man joins a very exclusive nudist colony. On his first day there he takes off his clothes and starts to wander around. A gorgeous petite blonde walks by and the man immediately gets an erection.

The woman notices the erection and comes over to him and says, "Sir, did you call for me?" The man replies, "No, what do you mean?" She says, "You must be new here, let me explain. It's a rule here that if you get an erection it implies that you called for me."

Smiling, she leads him to the side of the swimming pool, lays down a towel, eagerly pulls him to her and happily lets him have his way with her.

The man continued to explore the colony's facilities. He enters the sauna and as he sat down, he farted. Within a few minutes, a huge, horrible, corpulent, hairy man lumbers out of the steam toward him. "Did you call for me?" says the hairy man. "No, what do you mean?" asks the newcomer.

"You must be new here," says the hairy man, "it is a rule here that if you fart it implies that you called for me." The huge man easily spins him around, bends him over a bench and has his way with him.

The newcomer staggers back to the colony office where the smiling naked receptionist greets him. "May I help you?" she asks. The man says, "Here, you can have my membership card, you can have the key back and you can have the $500 membership fee!" "But sir," she replies, "you've only been here a few hours! You haven't had time to see all of our facilities."

The man replies, "Listen lady, I'm 72 years old, I get a hard on once a month, but I fart 15 times a day!"

Two elderly women are sitting on the front porch, doing nothing. One woman turns and asks,

"Do you still get horny?"

The other replies, "Oh sure I do."

The first old woman asks,
"What do you do about it?"

The second old lady replies,
"I suck a lifesaver."

... After a few moments, the first old lady asks,
"Who drives you to the beach?"

Thecoopman.. you mentioned you should start venturing overseas travelling - how about New Zealand. We are a clean, green, very friendly country, amazing scenery (just ask Richard). Home of the "Lord of the Rings". After spending 3 months in America in 2000 I found Americans and Canadians very similar to us, in humour and saying what they mean etc, not like some other countries.

Have fun and I hope to pop in regularly.

Good Evening All.
I just read the story about The Senior Bachelor in the Daily Breeze newspaper, and it sounded pretty exciting. Sorry to hear about your health issues Richard.
I am a 'Senior Bachelor' and would like to find out more about your 'adventure' cruise that is coming up. Will that still occur given your health, Richard?
I'll post now and see what happens.

Hi Mark,

Glad to see you found the Men's Blog. I've been helping Richard with the Senior Bachelor endeavor. I'm going to answer your question on behalf of Richard as he is tied up right now.

As far as we know, everything with the Alaska cruises is right on track. We expect a full recovery and well before August Richard should be raring to go! The cruises will be a terrific opportunity for you to meet many amazing and wonderful women. You will have the time of your life!

If you want more information please email me at joe@seniorbachelor.com or look at the Senior Bachelor website under the "Fun Cruises" tab. There you will get a lot of good information. It looks like it's going to be a sell out so if you (and any of your male friends!) want to go be sure to follow up- and get ready for a lot of fun!

Thanks, Mark and welcome aboard!

PS- You may want to continue your comments on the other blog in this area titled "Men Wanted for Alaskan Cruise!!!" as that is the most recent one. I'll copy your comment from here and post it there for you.
